Round table on „Expanding to strenghten the role of NATO", Totonto April 18th 2012 PDF Print

At the invitation of the Atlantic Council of Canada, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Head of NATO coordination team, Ana Trisic-Babic, is paying an offical visit to Canada.

At a working lunch organized by the Director General of the Atlantic Council, Bill Graham, Trisic-Babic presented the progress of BiH towards European and Euro-Atlantic intergration from the end of the war to date, status in the MAP (Membership Action Plan) the importance of continuing efforts by Canadian support BiH and BiH in PfP activities, ID, IPP, IPAP, and contribution of BiH to ISAF mission in Afghanistan.

Infomation on the current political, economic and secutity situation in BiH, the region, Canada and the world were exchanged at the meeting.

At the roundtable „Expanding to strenghten the role of NATO", Trisic-Babic explained what requirements BiH must meet in order to complete the activation of MAP, as well as the need of regional involvement in NATO. She emphasized that the experience that BiH, as a post-conflict country, which, in the period of 20 years has implemented a number of important reforms and was elected as a non-permanent member of UN Security Council for the mandate period 2010-2011, can offer to countries in similar situations.

The official visit countinues with meeting in Department of Foreign Affairs and other relevant Canadian institutions, where the topic of meetings, other than NATO, will be the bilateral cooperation between two countries, especially in terms of regulating the contractual relationship that BiH considers a priority-Social Security Agreement, the Agreement on the Protection of investment and Memorandum on youth mobility.

Дани Босне и Херцеговине у Западној Канади PDF Print

У периоду од 09-12. марта 2012. године, особље Амбасаде Босне и Херцеговине у Отави је, на позив Босанско-Херцеговачког културног центра у Ванкуверу, присуствовало манифестацији „Дани Босне и Херцеговине у Западној Канади".

У оквиру манифестације, чији циљ је било промовисање Центра, али и јачање визибилитета Амбасаде БиХ у овом дијелу Канаде, одржани су и конзуларни дани.

Манифестација „Дани Босне и Херцеговине у Западној Канади", у организацији Босанско-Херцеговачког културног центра у Ванкуверу, обухватила је неколико догађаја – одржавање Свечане академије поводом Међународног дана жена, одржани сусрети са члановима државног и провинцијског Парламента, подизање заставе Босне и Херцеговине у Олимпијском центру у Вислеру (Whisler), те затварање Манифестације, уз проглашење и додјелу плакета БХ жени године у Западној Канади.

Особље Амбасаде БиХ у Отави је оцијенило Манифестацију „Дани Босне и Херцеговине у Западној Канади" изузетно успјешном и поздравило је јачање сарадње Амбасаде и наших заједница у Канади. Босанско-Херцеговачки културни центар у Ванкуверу је публиковао свој Извјештај за медије.

Representatives of the Embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina will be in Vancouver from 9-12 March of  2012, as guests of the Bosnian-Herzegovinian cultural center.

Christian Embassy Fundraising Events PDF Print

A small group from a church in Barrhaven will be going to Sarajevo to teach sewing classes for one week in April. This is the continuation of a project that was begun in 2005. The group is in the process of raising money to cover the project expenses through a variety of events all  to be held at the church: Barrhaven Fellowship Christian Reformed Church which is located at 3058 Jockvale Road in Barrhaven (Nepean).

 

These events are open to the public and participants are welcome.

Notification of the verification of old foreign currency savings in Brcko district PDF Print

Directorate of Finance informs that Brcko District Regulations Amending the Regulations on the procedure of verifying claims and cash payments arising from old foreign currency savings in the Brcko District determined a new deadline verification of old foreign currency savings in the former Commerce Bank branches Jugobanka in Sarajevo and Brcko, from 1.01 .2012 up to 30.09.2012. 


It is noted that the verification can be done through the authorized person (power of attorney) upon presentation of appropriate documents listed in the invitation.
